What is the NoteSkrib Clipper?
The NoteSkrib Clipper is a Chrome extension that lets you save web content, YouTube videos, and images directly to your NoteSkrib account without leaving your browser.
Installation
- Visit the Chrome Web Store
- Search for "NoteSkrib Clipper"
- Click "Add to Chrome"
- Click the extension icon and enter your API key from Settings
Getting Your API Key
- Log in to NoteSkrib
- Go to Settings → API Access
- Click "Generate API Key"
- Copy the key and paste it into the extension settings
Features
Text Selection
Select any text on a webpage, and a floating menu will appear. Choose to add it to your draft, send it immediately, or open the draft editor.
YouTube Videos
When viewing a YouTube video, click the extension icon to save the video with its title, description, and thumbnail to your NoteSkrib account.
Images
Right-click any image and select "Save to NoteSkrib" to capture it as a visual note.
Draft System
Collect multiple text snippets from different pages into a draft, then combine them into a single note when you're ready.
Troubleshooting
Extension not working?
If you see "Please reload the page and try again", this means the content script wasn't loaded when the page opened.
Solution: Simply reload the page (F5 or Ctrl/Cmd+R) and try again.
Can't access certain pages?
The extension cannot access Chrome internal pages (chrome://) or extension pages. This is a browser security restriction.
API key not working?
Make sure you've copied the entire API key from Settings → API Access.
If it still doesn't work, try generating a new API key.
Tips & Tricks
Use the draft system to collect research from multiple sources
Right-click on images to quickly save them as visual notes
The extension automatically captures the source URL for attribution
You can edit captured content before saving using the draft editor
