Sending & Sharing Notes

Learn how to share your notes with others

Sharing Notes

NoteSkrib allows you to share notes with other users via email. Recipients don't need a NoteSkrib account to receive notes, but they'll need one to send notes back.

How to Send a Note

  1. Open the note you want to share
  2. Click the "Share" button
  3. Enter the recipient's email address
  4. Optionally add a personal message
  5. Click "Send"

Receiving Notes

When someone sends you a note:

  • You'll receive an email notification
  • The note appears in your "Received Notes" section
  • You can accept the note to add it to your collection
  • Or decline if you don't want to keep it

Privacy & Security

Your notes are private - Only you and people you explicitly share with can see them

Email notifications - Recipients get an email, but the full note content is only visible in NoteSkrib

Accept/Decline - Recipients can choose whether to accept shared notes

Best Practices

  • Add a personal message when sharing to provide context
  • Use categories and tags to help recipients organize shared notes
  • Check your "Received Notes" regularly for new shares
  • You can share the same note with multiple people

Limitations

Currently, note sharing is one-way. If you want to collaborate on notes, both users should have NoteSkrib accounts and share notes back and forth.
