Getting Started

Learn the basics of NoteSkrib and start organizing your ideas

Welcome to NoteSkrib!

NoteSkrib is your personal knowledge management system. Whether you're capturing quick thoughts, organizing research, or managing projects, NoteSkrib helps you keep everything in one place.

Creating Your First Note

  1. Click the "New Note" button in the dashboard
  2. Give your note a title
  3. Add your content using the rich text editor
  4. Optionally add tags or assign to a category
  5. Click "Save" to store your note

Organizing with Categories

Categories help you organize notes by topic or project. You can:

  • Create custom categories in Settings
  • Assign notes to categories when creating or editing
  • Filter notes by category in the dashboard
  • Use color coding to visually distinguish categories

Using Tags

Tags provide flexible organization across categories. Add multiple tags to any note to make it easier to find later. Use the search bar to find notes by tag.

Quick Tips

Tip: Use the global search (Ctrl/Cmd + K) to quickly find any note

Tip: Star important notes to keep them at the top of your list

Tip: Use the Chrome extension to capture content while browsing
